Dizzy Cycles has been a proud participant in the BC Scrap-It program since its inception in 1996. If your 1993 or older car doesn’t pass AirCare, you have other options. The Scrap-It Program is working to improve Lower Mainland air quality by getting older, high polluting vehicles off the road. After recycling your older vehicle, the program offers a choice of incentives for new or alternative modes of transportation. One of these incentives is up to $1200 towards a new bicycle and/or accessories. You can put together a really nicely outfitted commuting machine using this program! The Kona Bicycle Company has always designed bikes for specific riders' needs. In partnering with Bristol-Myers Squibb and Bicycling Magazine’s BikeTown Africa, Kona has embarked upon the design of what could be the most important bicycle the company has ever developed. This site will track the design, development and delivery of more than 200 Kona bikes, designed specifically to assist health care workers treating HIV and AIDS patients with the delivery of home health aids and services in two Botswana cities, Bobonong and the capital city of Gaborone, beginning in late March 2006.
